Claire Bacon-Brenes
Hello! I am a recent graduate of Scripps College in Southern California where I studied neuroscience and developed a passion for visual communication. As a neuroscience major I am interested in connections. Connections are at the core of how our brain functions and ever important in developing safe and meaningful relationships among humans. I am interested in further understanding the connections within our brain and how they are influencing and influenced by the way we learn and interact with new material. I have developed a particular interest in honing in on different individual learning styles and communicating scientific material for all to understand. I believe in the power of using graphic visuals to aid in communications as many times a picture speaks louder than words. My intention with this site is to share my initial work in graphic communication, my artistic creations, and my thesis project centered around visual communication of neuroscience. Currently seeking employment in the communications, graphic recording, or graphic design fields where I will be able to not only bring drive and organization, but a passion for communicating scientific material and making connections between our brains, art, science, and colleagues in the work environment. Please reach out if you are interested in working together or learning more about my work!
